It certainly has, and so much has changed!

Where do I start; I am getting married in April, own a house, have got a new job and a new hobby. See if you can guess what the hobby is... All of which have lead to my lack of posting articles/blog entries on BasicDog.co.uk and changes to the it from now on, I guess I should explain:

A house? Married? New Job!?!
Where to start?... Karen would be a good start; We have lived together for years after university and after buying our 2 bedroom terraced house in Derby we are getting hitched. A few details; It's in Scotland of course! surely that was obvious? OK stay with me here, it is simply a place that we both love and not being religious it is nice to get married somewhere special in other ways.

Somewhere in the middle of all this madness I was made redundant as they closed our building, but luckily I managed to find a new job in IT without any paycut (phew) and am settling in nicely.

The New Hobby?
So I have for the last year gotten into cycling a fair amount; fuelled by having a bike stolen and an insurance claim for a new better bike, I now Mountain bike most weekends and also commute to work everyday, and as cycling has become a huge part of my life it would be a travesty not to incude it on BasicDog would it not?

The new bike (a Pinnacle Source 1.0) and my tendancy to pull things apart lead to me learning bike mechanics (costly when learning through trial and error) and upgraded said bike loads before replacing the frame with a HandsomeDog XC-01 (See Picture).

In the last year I have also managed to convet my betrothed into a mountain biker, and it has taken us to forests in Scotland, Wales and all over England. I will no doubt write a few articles about the evolution of the bikes and their components soon enough for anyone who cares.

So for now I leave you with this breif update and look forwards to bringing BasicDog.co.uk back to life once more!

Oh and there are now gerbils in the world! But now is not the time...
